for whom does pagerank matters

For me pagerank doesnt matter a inch,this blog was started in the month of feb,in the subsequent update,it got a pagerank of 0 when I expected a pagerank 1 for the work we put in to it.Now sizzlers is a top ranked blog getting daily visitors of more than 100.but for sizzlers it would have been dooms days for my blogging career.thanks for all the people who drived me into blogging!
